BE A SHINING LIGHT... ON AND OFF OF THE STAGE

At Musical Theatre East, our mission is to shine brightly both on and off the stage. We cultivate creativity, confidence, and excellence in a Christ-centered environment, inspiring students and audiences in ways that leave a lasting impact.

Musical Theatre East operates unlike most theatre companies. Here, everyone who registers for a production is guaranteed a role in the show (space permitting). While registration secures your spot in the cast, auditions help us match each performer to the role that best aligns with their skills, experience, and fit for the part.

At MTE, we welcome students ages 5 through 19 to experience the joy of theatre. Our year-round programs are designed to provide opportunities for everyone, regardless of experience. Every registered student has the chance to shine on stage. We believe that the path to building confidence and skill starts with inclusion, not exclusion. That’s why our productions cast all who register, creating a supportive environment where students of all levels work together to produce incredible shows.

Even with this inclusive approach, our artistic team delivers high-quality productions that captivate audiences and showcase the God-given talent, gifts & abilities of our performers.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Musical Theatre East is rooted in the Christian faith, with our greatest priority being to love others the way Jesus loves- with compassion, humility and grace.

We believe in one God, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. His life and teachings are the foundation of our faith and the principles that guide how we lead, teach, and care for one another.

We believe faith is not about strict religious rules, but about living out the example of Jesus in our daily actions. During rehearsals, we pray together and openly acknowledge God as we focus on using our gifts, talents, and abilities in the arts for Him.

We strive to create a Christ-centered environment where every person is valued, and love is shown through encouragement, respect, and integrity. While Musical Theatre East is founded on Christian beliefs, we warmly welcome students and families from all backgrounds.
