Musical Theatre East operates unlike most theatre companies. Here, everyone who registers for a production is guaranteed a role in the show (space permitting). While registration secures your spot in the cast, auditions help us match each performer to the role that best aligns with their skills, experience, and fit for the part.

At MTE, we welcome students ages 5 through 19 to experience the joy of theatre. Our year-round programs are designed to provide opportunities for everyone, regardless of experience. Every registered student has the chance to shine on stage. We believe that the path to building confidence and skill starts with inclusion, not exclusion. That’s why our productions cast all who register, creating a supportive environment where students of all levels work together to produce incredible shows.
