Musical Theatre Production:
Big Fish: School Edition
ABOUT THE SHOW- Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton with a screenplay by John August, Big Fish is a fantastical, heartwarming musical that follows the life of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman whose larger-than-life stories captivate everyone around him-especially his loving wife, Sandra. But their son, Will, about to become a father himself, is determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s epic tales. As Will embarks on a journey to understand the man behind the myth, Big Fish explores the power of storytelling, family bonds, and the search for identity.

Musical Theatre Dance
ABOUT-
Step into the spotlight! This energetic class gives tween and teen dancers the opportunity to develop their dance technique while exploring the exciting performance style of musical theater. Students will build confidence, musicality, versatility, stage presence, and performance skills while learning how to communicate characters and stories through movement. Musical Theater Dance incorporates a variety of dance styles, including jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, and tap.
Each class may feature a different genre or combination of styles, allowing dancers to expand their technique and become well-rounded performers. Our classes are taught from a Christian perspective and encourage students to use their gifts and talents in a positive, uplifting environment. *Christian worship music may be incorporated into class*, along with age-appropriate choreography and movement that promotes positive self-expression, confidence, joy, discipline, and Christian values.

DRESS CODE
Comfortable, fitted dance or athletic clothing that allows for movement. *No jeans.* Students who arrive wearing jeans without a change of appropriate dance clothes will be asked to sit out of class.
HAIR
Hair must be pulled back *away from the face* in a ponytail, bun, or pigtails. Students with short hair should *pin it back or use a headband* to keep hair securely away from the face.
SHOES
Students should bring all of their dance shoes to every class, as the dance style may change from week to week.
